Chatterjee joined Tata Steel limited in 1995 in Jamshedpur. Chatterjee is an Honours Graduate in Commerce from Calcutta University and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has also served as the President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) from 2021 to 2022. He served as the President of the Indian Institute of Metals from 2021 to 2022.
He is a fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering. He was the co-chair of the Mining & Metals Governors Council of the World Economic Forum from 2016 to 2018. He is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of the World Steel Association. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Governors of XLRI Jamshedpur. He is the Chairman of Tata Steel Europe and Tata Steel Long Products Limited. Narendran is currently on the Board of Tata Steel Limited. He has over 34 years of experience in the Mining and Metals industry. As the CEO & MD, he has overseen the organic and inorganic growth of Tata Steel over the last few years.
T V Narendran is the CEO & Managing Director of Tata Steel Limited. Outside of companies he has worked for, Henrik has held various board member and non-executive director positions. He started his career in 1991 as a scientist in vehicle safety technologies before becoming Managing Director of a German engineering services consultancy company. Prior to this, he held a wide range of responsibilities for various functions at thyssenkrupp.īorn in Essen in Germany, Henrik is a mechanical engineer by education, who has specialised in the field of automotive engineering, notably in the application of materials in vehicle design. In addition, he took on the responsibilities of the Chief Technical Officer and the Chief Commercial Officer following a reorganisation of the company’s Executive Committee in early 2021.īefore joining Tata Steel in 2011 as its Chief Commercial Officer, Henrik was CEO of thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel and a Member of the Board of Eisen- und Hüttenwerke AG, the stock exchange listed holding company for the tinplate and electrical steel businesses of thyssenkrupp. Previously, he held the role of Chief Executive Officer of Tata Steel in Europe from 2019.
